Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi has released a notification for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026. The online application process has started from 21 April 2026 and the last date to apply is 21 May 2026. Candidates are advised to read the full notification before applying.
Payment Mode: Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card/Mobile Wallet.
As per JAC rules.
Candidates must have 10+2 Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C. / D.El.Ed.), OR 10+2 with at least 45% marks with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE 2002 norms), OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and be appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), OR 10+2 with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and must have passed or be appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C. / D.El.Ed.), OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. / L.T. / Shiksha Shastri (Regular). Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms) are also eligible. Alternatively, candidates with 10+2 with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed., or a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program, or a Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education), or a Master’s degree with 55% marks along with a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course are eligible.
